Members of Ole South’s sales, production, and construction team recently volunteered in our warehouse sorting and packing food for the 380,000 people struggling with hunger in our area.
As Tennessee’s number one home builder, Ole South cares about our local communities.
“As we go through our neighborhoods, if you see five children on a playground, one of those five is struggling with a hunger issue,” Trey Lewis, Vice President of Sales at Ole South, said. “That’s something that we have to get involved and do something about, and that’s why we’re here.”
Hunger affects everyone, however a disproportionate amount, about 25%, of hungry people in Middle Tennessee are children. Ole South wants to change that.
Lewis challenged his community to contribute to Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee by donating time, money, or food this holiday season. However, he also knows that people aren’t just hungry in December.
“We’re hear at Christmas this time, but this need is 12 months a year 365 days a year,” Lewis said.
