Second Harvest’s events offer great ways to support our efforts to fight hunger in Middle and West Tennessee. Show your support by attending one of our signature events, or join the fight against hunger by hosting a benefit event!
MLK Weekend of Service
Ms. Cheap’s Penny Drive
SAVE THE DATE! Eat. Drink. Give back. The perfect bites from Nashville’s finest restaurants are waiting for you at Generous Helpings, our annual fundraiser at City Winery. Past delicacies have included a cheese grit cake with andouille sausage mousse, and crab-topped polenta with shaved fennel. Pair the delicious tastings with fine wines and craft beers, and enjoy a fabulous evening that supports Middle Tennessee’s Table, our grocery rescue program. Tickets will go on sale in March.
Stamp Out Hunger
Do an easy peasy good deed May 9: Simply leave a bag of nonperishable food next to your mailbox. U.S. Postal Service letter carriers will collect your donation when they deliver your mail. This is the 28th annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive, led by the National Association of Letter Carriers.
Most needed items this year include peanut butter, canned chicken and tuna, and canned fruits or vegetables.
Stars for Second Harvest
SAVE THE DATE! Tickets always sell out for Stars for Second Harvest because this acoustic benefit concert happens during CMA Fest and is held at the historic Ryman Auditorium, former site of the Grand Ole Opry.
Past headliners have included Keith Urban, Blake Shelton, and Dierks Bentley. All proceeds help feed hungry people in Middle and West Tennessee.
Look for more info on ticket sales in April!
