More USDA Food for Pantries and Soup Kitchens

Second Harvest has seen a massive increase in the amount of food we are receiving from the USDA.

A bailout program is now available for the USDA to assist farmers whose businesses are affected by trade tariffs. As a result, the USDA now has more food available to funnel to food banks across the county through federal feeding programs like The Emergency Food Assistance Program, also known as TEFAP.

TEFAP provides nutritious foods to low-income families through food pantry and soup kitchen programs run by our agencies. TEFAP foods are free for our agencies and include a long list of non-perishable and perishable items like milk, cheese, canned beans, canned vegetables, canned fruit, frozen meat and fresh produce.

If you run a soup kitchen or food pantry program and would like more information on how to order TEFAP foods, contact your Agency Relations Manager to set up a training.

Chaque dollar que vous donnez aide à fournir au moins 4 repas à des familles dans le besoin grâce à Second Harvest.
