Programmes d'alimentation
With more than 1 million Tennesseans experiencing hunger every day, we’re working hard to get food to those who need it most. Last year, our fleet of 18 trucks covered more than 750,000 miles rescuing and delivering food to our network of over 420 Partner Agencies and directly to children, families, and seniors facing hunger across our 46-county service area.

Our Programs
Children's Programs

At-Risk Afterschool Meal Program
For children who don’t have dinner waiting at home, this program ensures kids get a balanced meal or hearty snack afterschool.

BackPack
There are children who dread the weekend because there isn’t enough food at their house. BackPacks provide easy-to-prepare food for children facing hunger on weekends.

Kids Cafe
We have several programs that serve hungry children, but Kids Cafe has a unique educational component.

School Food Pantry
School pantries are key to our efforts to end childhood hunger.

Summer Food Service Program
Summer is often the hungriest time of year for families with children, since suddenly they can no longer depend on free school breakfasts and lunches.
Family Programs

Boîte alimentaire d'urgence
An EFB provides 2-3 days of staple foods based on the number of members in each household.

Farm to Families
This program engages local farmers, community volunteers, and our Partner Agencies to support those struggling with hunger.

Grocery Rescue Program
A leader in the battle against food waste, Second Harvest rescues food from grocery stores that would otherwise go to the landfill.

Garde-manger mobile
Many people experiencing hunger live in food deserts, and often have transportation challenges. So Second Harvest meets people where they are.

Produce Truck
People struggling with hunger are at a higher risk of developing diet-related illnesses, so this is one way we’re getting healthier food into neighborhoods.

Sensibilisation SNAP
People with low incomes often don’t realize they qualify for SNAP. So we have staff dedicated to helping people apply for SNAP (formerly known as food stamps).
Senior Programs

Commodity Supplemental Food Program
To improve the health of low-income seniors, this program supplements their diets with nutritious food from the USDA.

Senior Nutrition
The Senior Nutrition Program provides low-income seniors with food that’s nutritious, easy to prepare, and shelf stable.

Sensibilisation SNAP
People with low incomes often don’t realize they qualify for SNAP. So we have staff dedicated to helping people apply for SNAP (formerly known as food stamps).
