Thanks to our Friends of the Food Bank group for a great night giving back!

This week, more than 40 young professionals came together for a happy hour that gave back.  The group worked hard, sorting 7,704 lbs of food that had been rescued from local groceries. Afterwards, they relaxed and enjoyed sips and snacks of delicious mini bundt cakes provided by sponsor, Nothing Bundt Cakes.

Also part of the event was a peanut butter drive. Peanut butter is one of our most needed items in our Emergency Food Boxes, and that night, we collected  80 lbs of peanut butter! One lucky peanut butter donor went home with a full size bundt cake as part of a raffle prize.
