At Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee, we’re grateful for partners whose generosity grows right alongside their business. Chick-fil-A has done exactly that by turning its expansion across our region into meals for neighbors facing hunger. That spirit of giving is the heart of our Power of ONE campaign, and we’re proud to recognize Chick-fil-A as a valued partner.
$205,000 and 820,000 Meals Since 2020
Since 2020, Chick-fil-A restaurants across Middle Tennessee have contributed more than $205,000 to Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee. That support has empowered us to provide over 820,000 meals to children, families, and older adults facing hunger across Middle and West Tennessee.
Behind that total are real kids who need steady nutrition, families navigating tight budgets, and seniors who deserve to eat with dignity all reaching for stability. Every dollar Chick-fil-A gives helps put food within their reach.
Giving That Grows With Every New Restaurant
What makes Chick-fil-A’s support distinctive is how it’s structured. Much of our relationship has been built through Feeding America, with Chick-fil-A committing $25,000 for each new restaurant it opens in our service area.
It’s a model that ties generosity directly to growth. As Chick-fil-A expands its presence across our communities, its investment in ending hunger expands right along with it.
Focused on Feeding Kids

Recently, Chick-fil-A has directed its support to our Children’s Feeding programs. The Chick-fil-A Shared Table program allows Chick-fil-A restaurants to donate surplus food to charitable organizations across Middle Tennessee, and since 2012, local restaurants have donated the equivalent of 468,000 meals through this program and many of these through Second Harvest of Middle Tennessee partners.
By concentrating their giving where it can shape a young life, Chick-fil-A is helping ensure the next generation of Middle and West Tennessee doesn’t have to grow up hungry.
A Deepening, Direct Partnership
Our relationship with Chick-fil-A continues to strengthen. Through direct connections with their local restaurants and Owner-Operators, we’ve opened the door to closer collaboration—and that partnership now includes Chick-fil-A stepping up as a Power of One sponsor in the coming year.
That kind of hands-on engagement signals a company that doesn’t just write a check, but wants to be part of the work.
Reducing Waste Through Food Rescue
The partnership extends to our Food Rescue program as well. A Chick-fil-A Supply distribution center in our service area—a dedicated distribution center serving Chick-fil-A restaurants across the region—has begun contributing food and supplies to help this effort, redirecting usable goods to the neighbors who need them.
It’s one more way Chick-fil-A is finding to put good resources to good use in the fight against hunger.
The Need Across Middle and West Tennessee
The need remains urgent. 480,000 people across the 46 counties Second Harvest serves face hunger, including 1 in 7 Tennesseans and 1 in 5 children. It’s a daunting figure, yet it grows smaller each time a partner like Chick-fil-A chooses to act.
Their support since 2020 shows what steady commitment can accomplish. Hunger doesn’t take a day off, and Chick-fil-A keeps showing up.
One Community, One Mission
The Power of ONE rests on a simple idea: one action, joined by many, becomes something powerful. Chick-fil-A has embraced that idea year after year, and our region is better for it.
