Publix Shoppers Provide Food for All

Second Harvest is always grateful for the support from our partners in the food industry and their commitment to fighting hunger. Today our friends at Publix Super Markets delivered a check for $176,549.47 from their annual “Food For All” campaign, during which they invite customers and associates to make a donation to the fight against hunger from the register. This year’s donations will provide more than 700,000 meals in our region!

“Publix Super Markets are proud to partner with Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee in the Food for All register collection campaign in our stores,” said Brenda Reid, media and community relations manager for Publix. “Thanks to the generosity of our customers and associates, we were able to donate more than $176,000 this year to help fight hunger in Middle Tennessee.”

This year’s highest-performing store in our region is in Mt. Juliet. Assistant Store Manager Nicole Stone gives all the credit to their customers for the increase over last year. “Our customers are excited to give,” she said, “and especially when you tell them it’s for Second Harvest.”

We are so thankful to Publix associates and customers for their support!
