More than 40% of food produced in the U.S. goes uneaten, yet 1 in 8 Middle and West Tennesseans don’t know where their next meal is coming from. Kroger wants to change that.
In honor of Hunger Action Month, Kroger has launched the #ZeroHungerZeroWaste Donation Challenge to educate and inspire others to fight hunger in their communities.
Participating in the #ZeroHungerZeroWaste Donation Challenge is easy!
- Donate a bag of groceries to the Second Harvest donation barrels at your local Kroger or our Nashville distribution center during the month of September
- Post a photo of your donation with the hashtag #ZeroHungerZeroWaste
- Tag a friend and issue a donation challenge to them to donate food during the month of September
- Tag @2harvestmidtn, to help raise awareness throughout your community about where and how to donate
TITANS FOOD DRIVE
In addition to the #ZeroHungerZeroWaste Donation Challenge, Kroger is also teaming up with the Tennessee Titans for an all-day food drive.
Tackle hunger by bringing non-perishable food donations to Nissan Stadium Friday, September 28 from 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Our most needed food items are peanut butter, canner meat, canned vegetables, canned fruit, pasta, and cereal.
We are grateful for Kroger’s continued partnership and commitment to end hunger in our community!
