Shooting Hunger raises $60,000 for Tennessee Food Banks

The First Annual West Tennessee Shooting Hunger Clay Sporting Clay Shoot raised $60,000, the equivalent of 240,000 meals, to benefit Mid-South Food Bank and Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee.

The one-day event, held at Carroll County Shooting Sports Park in Huntingdon, boasted an attendance of nearly 400, including 250 shooters representing 50 teams. Major sponsors for the fundraiser included Tosh Farms of Henry County, Tyson and Great Plains of Obion County.

The Shooting Hunger fundraiser was created in 2015 through the combined efforts of Tennessee Farmers Cooperative, the Tennessee Farm Bureau Family, and Farm Credit Mid-America. Registration is now open for Nashville’s Shooting Hunger event on September 28, 2017.
