Sprintz Furniture Provides Hope to Children and Families Facing Hunger This Summer

Furniture firm partners with Second Harvest to make this a Hunger Free Summer in Middle and West Tennessee

The COVID-19 pandemic has greatly impacted families in Middle and West Tennessee – leaving far too many facing hunger. Children have lost access to school meals they depend on and parents have lost jobs and a way to pay for groceries.

Recognizing the immense need during these unprecedented times, Sprintz Furniture is partnering with Second Harvest to help those at-risk of hunger get the food they need this summer season.

“At Sprintz Furniture, we believe in neighbors helping neighbors – especially in challenging times like these,” said Bruce Sprintz, Owner of Sprintz Furniture. “One way we are giving back and serving our community is through our continued support of Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee.”

Feeding America projects there has been a 40 percent increase in the number of children facing hunger in Second Harvest’s 46-county service area since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic – meaning 1 in 4 children are currently at-risk of not having enough to eat.

Fortunately, the funds and awareness raised by the Hunger Free Summer campaign, enable Second Harvest and our partners to continue providing much-needed food assistance during these critical summer months.

“This campaign, supported by our own financial contribution will help Second Harvest be successful in its mission to provide meals to Middle Tennessee families in need,” said Sprintz. “Plus, we know how important it is to bring awareness to hunger issues during these summer months.”

Join Sprintz Furniture and Second Harvest in making this a Hunger Free Summer for children and families in our community.
