Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee and News 2 WKRN-TV are teaming up once again for the News 2 Food 2 Families School Food Drive! 

There’s no doubt the world looks different this year, but our neighbors need our help now more than ever. So we’re giving you several different options to accommodate both students in the classroom and students who are learning virtually.

Not only is News 2 Food 2 Families an opportunity for local schools to fight hunger, but it’s also an opportunity to show children that they too can make a difference in their community. 

On the first day of school, children facing hunger have already fallen behind their classmates. They will have more difficulty concentrating in class, be sick more often, and be less likely to excel academically.

Last year, over 70 local schools participated, and students donated more than 300,000 items. We hope to have an even bigger impact this year!
