Are you looking for meaningful volunteer opportunities in Middle Tennessee this April? Volunteer Appreciation Month is the perfect time to fight hunger at home.
Volunteers have a profound impact on the fight against hunger. Last year, volunteers gave over 62,000 hours to Second Harvest.
Whether it is at a Mobile Market or packing BackPacks, we need that time to get nutritious food to our neighbors.
Volunteer shifts are a great team-building exercise and a fun way to give back. Organizations use our volunteer opportunities to build stronger teams. At the same time, they get to make a lasting impact in the community.
There are numerous ways to get involved with Second Harvest:
- Food Sorting and Packing: Organize and pack food donations at any of our locations.
- Family Night: Engage in a volunteer shift with the whole family. Tasks are suitable for children aged six and above.
- Special Events and Administrative Support: Help with events or provide office assistance.

Whether you’re a corporate team, school group, or community organization, we can’t wait to see you at a shift.
Join us this Volunteer Appreciation Month. Together, we can create a hunger-free community.
