As we prepare for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday, we are busy making preparations to share a special meal with friends and family.

Picture your plate without the foods that nourish your family—without your favorite recipes. For 1 in 7 people in Middle Tennessee, this is an everyday reality.

This Thanksgiving, we are grateful for partners like Kroger, who are dedicated to our mission of feeding hungry people and working to solve hunger issues in our community. Earlier this month, Kroger employees volunteered at a mobile pantry distribution–which operates like a farmers’ market and provided nearly 200 families with 1 -2 weeks’ worth of groceries.

Now, through their Can Hunger campaign, Kroger is sharing their passion with their customers to ensure that every family is able to put food on the table this holiday season.

Through November 26, visit your local Kroger store and and contribute $1 at checkout to provide 4 meals or $5 to provide 20 meals. You may make the contribution at checkout with your groceries, and the gift will be shown as a Food Bank donation on their receipt.
