Keora’s Family Is Giving Thanks for You

keora-jaquez-and-jaquez-jr-willisKeora and Jaquez were thrilled to welcome their 2-month-old son, Jaquez, Jr., into the world. They’re doting parents and clearly love their little boy dearly. But between all their family’s expenses, they’ve often faced difficult choices like whether to pay bills or buy food.

But that’s not for lack of effort. Jaquez takes any work he can get — from a hectic kitchen to hard labor — to help make ends meet.

“He would do anything to provide for our family,” Keora says of her husband’s work ethic.

Fortunately, you’re bringing relief to parents like Jaquez and Keora every day. Thanks to friends like you, the couple no longer has to fret about where their family’s next meal will come from. Keora found out about Manna Café — a Second Harvest Partner Agency in Clarksville — through her local community policing center.

They can pick up a bag of healthy, wholesome food at Manna Café’s mobile food distributions and join fellow neighbors for a full meal twice a week. Keora greatly appreciates the food and the fellowship. She says she won’t let her pride get in the way of providing food for her family, and she appreciates being able to get help in an environment where she doesn’t feel judged.

Manna Café’s dedicated staff and volunteers truly care about the well-being of their neighbors. Many donate clothes to make sure people like Keora and Jaquez have warm coats for the frigid temperatures.

Year-round, Manna Café consistently delivers hearty meals and groceries to communities across Montgomery County. Keora says she’ll never forget that — and she’ll always keep friends like you, who help ensure she has food on the table, in her heart.

“Thank you!” she says. “This is a great place for families that have hard times.”

You’re spreading joy to the people in Middle Tennessee who need it most. Thank you for your generosity!
