We’re thrilled to announce Generous Helpings will return to City Winery for the second year on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at 6pm. Our annual tasting event will feature 25 of Nashville’s best restaurants showcasing signature appetizers, entrees and desserts paired with your choice of wines and craft beers.
Our annual event raises much-needed funds for Middle Tennessee’s Table, Second Harvest’s grocery rescue program. In fact, the 2015 event raised more than $97,000! Middle Tennessee’s Table is designed to reduce hunger in our community by rescuing, sorting and distributing frozen meat, dairy, produce and dry groceries from nearly 200 grocery stores and food donors. Last year, Second Harvest distributed more than 29 million pounds of food including 10 million pounds of groceries rescued through this program.
Participating restaurants include (as of 4/6/16):
Amerigo Italian Restaurant
Butcher & Bee

New in 2016, Generous Helpings will expand beyond City Winery’s Concert Hall with additional booths set up in the venue’s upstairs lounge, providing additional space for our guests to mingle while enjoying tastings. Additionally, the event will feature a uniquely local silent auction with eight packages from various Nashville neighborhoods: 8th Avenue/Melrose, 12th South, East Nashville, Sylvan Park, Germantown, Hillsboro Village, Downtown and Green Hills. All silent auction proceeds will also support Second Harvest’s grocery rescue efforts.
