  • Meal gap = 16.5 million meals annually

What’s New

The Nacarato Distribution Center in Smyrna opened in fall 2018, but there’s still work to be done before it reaches its full potential. Currently the 36,000-square-foot facility includes safe food storage for frozen, refrigerated, and shelf-stable food.

When it’s running at capacity, this new location will distribute more than 8.4 million meals in our 15 Southern counties annually.

Your Gifts at Work

When we met Shae, she was using one of the outreach center’s computers to look for affordable housing. Right now she’s doing inspecting work and Joshua works in a warehouse. Their car is on its last legs, so that’s an additional expense they are struggling with. But they remain optimistic.

“Your help is really needed – it’s extremely needed. If they were to take away the food pantry, a lot of us wouldn’t make it.”

– Shae, client at The Journey Home in Murfreesboro
