Produce Truck

People struggling with hunger are at a higher risk of developing diet-related illnesses like high blood pressure and diabetes. Managing these chronic diseases can further drain a family’s limited resources and trap them in a cycle of hunger and health issues.

The Produce Truck travels around Davidson County bringing fresh vegetables, fruits, bread, milk, eggs, and other perishable items directly into food-insecure neighborhoods.

At each stop, perishable items are set out like a mini farmers’ market. Each person can fill up to two grocery bags. At an average stop, 49 households receive more than 900 pounds of food.

**Please Note** In keeping with CDC guidelines during the pandemic, the Produce Truck has been suspended until further notice. Please click Find Food below to find another food distribution in your area.
