The Farm to Families Program engages farmers and Partner Agencies to supply locally grown, nutritious produce to those in need, ensuring less food goes to waste. The Local Food Purchase Assistance (LFPA) grant has made it possible for Second Harvest to provide fresh, nutritious foods to our neighbors, and allowed us to showcase regional producers and strengthen our local economy. In 2023, Second Harvest is supporting 23 counties, 46 Partner Agencies, and purchasing from 50 local growers and producers through the LFPA grant.
