Volunteer Appreciation Day
Our volunteers sort and pack food donations, prepare BackPacks for hungry children, glean fresh food from local farms, chop vegetables in our Culinary Arts Center, answer phones, stuff envelopes and much more!
Each day, they take time from their busy workdays, weekends and evenings to help those in our community that are struggling to put food on the table.
April is National Volunteer Month, when we take time to thank the many volunteers who make our work possible. To celebrate the incredible work you do and to show our gratitude, we’re hosting a Volunteer Appreciation Day for our volunteers and their families on Sunday, April 23, 2017.
Join us at the food bank 2 – 4 PM for family-friendly fun including DIY screen printing, a backpack volunteer activity, seed planting station, prizes, snacks and more! We will also announce our volunteer award recipients. This is an “open house” event, however remarks will begin at 2:45 pm.
If you are able to attend, please RSVP by completing this form by Wednesday, April 19.
