Virtual Book Club | Invisible Americans

Date

Jun 28

Time

5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

This month’s virtual book club selection is “Invisible Americans: The Tragic Cost of Child Poverty” by Jeffrey G. Madrick. The book examines one of the most pressing, harmful, and heartbreaking problems facing our country – widespread poverty among American children.

Here at Second Harvest, we believe that an important part of feeding hungry people and working to solve hunger issues in our community is learning more about them. Read the book, and then join us online where we’ll discuss what we learned and how it relates to  food insecurity and the work we do to feed hungry people.

This free, educational event is designed with Second Harvest volunteers in mind, but there’s no volunteer component and everyone is welcome. Recommended for ages 16 and older.
