Reverse Parade Drive-Thru Food Drive

Date

Jun 24

Time

7:00 am - 7:00 pm

Family fun alert! Put the kids in the car, bag up some food, and join us at Reverse Parade! At this drive-thru food drive around Bicentennial Park, YOU are the parade. We provide live family entertainment along the route, until you get to the food drive drop-off point.

Fun includes Silly Grandpa, Disney princesses, superheros, Nashville Public Library Puppet Truck, balloon artists, magicians, and our favorite Nashville mascots – T-Rac, Gnash, and Booster the Rooster!

This is a great, safe way for you to get out of the house with your family, and do something kind for your neighbors who are struggling with hunger during these challenging times. Since the COVID pandemic began, food drive donations are down significantly, while the number of people who need help continues to increase.

Most-needed items include peanut butter, canned tuna and chicken, canned vegetables and fruit, pasta, and cereal. Please only bring non-perishable food items and/or monetary donations.

Plan on entering Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park at the intersection of Jefferson Street and 7th Avenue (see map), and please stay in your car along the route. Our staff and volunteers will follow social distancing guidelines and wear masks to keep your family safe.

Thank you to our sponsors who are making this fun day possible: WKRN News 2, Apex Moving and Storage, The Dairy Alliance, Kroger Zero Hunger Zero Waste, O’Charley’s, Southall, Nashville Farmer’s Market, Tiff’s Treats, Nashville Public Library Puppet Truck and Hip Hues
