An optional tour led by a member of our External Affairs team will begin at 5:30 PM for interested parties.

Charlotte Miller is a classically trained Fine Dining Chef and restaurant owner. Having traveled and cooked around the world learning food cultures, she brings authenticity and respect to her plates. Being a Nashville native Miller came home to open her own place, Yay Yay’s, to honor the dignity of all parts of her community. Miller has received the Phila Award and Outstanding Women in Food and Beverage from Jack Daniels and is recognized by the State of Tennessee as an Outstanding Woman in Tennessee history as the First Black Woman Chef at the Hermitage Hotel.

Malia Mosby is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University, majoring in Geoscience and minoring in Secondary education. She has been with Tennessee State University’s Cooperative Extension department for two years, specifically as an EFNEP Program Assistant teaching adults, young adults, and families.

Amy Qazi, RD, is our Senior Manager of Innovation & Nutrition here at Second Harvest. In her role, she works with and in the community to explore the intersection between hunger and health, while ensuring every person has equitable access to nutritious foods, and the education and skills needed to maintain good health.

While this event is free, we will be collecting food and monetary donations at check-in!
