Paula te esta agradecida

Paula is a dedicated nurse from Sumner County. She loves her job and being a force for good in her community.

But when she was tasked with taking care of her 103-year-old grandmother, she made the difficult decision to quit her job to be her grandmother’s primary caregiver.

In addition to now having to provide for her grandmother, Paula and her husband’s income was reduced down to one paycheck. The added strain made it hard for Paula and her husband to make ends meet, especially as groceries and living expenses continue to increase.

Sadly, Paula’s grandmother recently passed away and Paula is back trying to find a new job.

In the meantime, Paula says the support she receives from Mobile Pantries like Unlimited Potential Inc, a Second Harvest Partner Agency, are a big help.

“The groceries definitely help out. It’s difficult for all families right now,” Paula shared.

Being food insecure is a position Paula never thought she would find herself in. “You never know what a person needs,” she explained. The same is true for 1 in 8 of our neighbors, including 1 in 7 children, in Middle and West Tennessee.

Your support this #GivingFoodDay is providing three times as many meals for families like Paula’s thanks to a generous group of donors.
