Gourmet to go: A takeaway chef’s dinner by Redheaded Stranger and Maiz de la Vida

Do good on date night! Some of our favorite Nashville chefs have curated a delicious 3-course meal to benefit Second Harvest. All you have to do is pick it up and heat at home.

Let these authentic Mexican flavors and fresh, local ingredients add some zest to your night in. And feel good knowing dinner proceeds help Second Harvest feed your neighbors who are struggling with hunger.

Price includes dinner for two people, heating instructions, recipe cards, two premium canned margaritas from Post Meridiem Spirits, and updates on Second Harvest’s pandemic response.

Menu

  • Fresh maiz tostadas with feta and corn-off-the-cob dip and peanut salsa macha
  • Smoked brisket tamale with Oaxacan maiz, queso, red and green salsas, and fresh pico
  • Chicken enchiladas with nixtamal tortillas, red chili sauce, pickled onions, jalapeño, jack and cheddar cheeses, and sour cream
  • Mini chocolate pretzel pie

You may also choose a vegetarian variation of this menu, which includes the tostadas, dessert, and vegetarian enchiladas.
