Sponsorship

Creating an alliance with a successful, high-profile nonprofit produces economic and social benefits that aren’t available through usual channels. At Second Harvest, we treat our sponsors right. Your generosity will be recognized, your brand will be visible, and at the end of every project you’ll know exactly how many meals your company helped provide for hungry Tennesseans.

Case study: Kroger

Kroger has been a strong strategic partner with Second Harvest for more than 30 years, including sponsoring the annual Titans food drive, frequent staff volunteering, and an annual in-store cause marketing campaign.

We’ve stood side-by-side as Kroger launched its Zero Hunger, Zero Waste initiative and as Second Harvest debuted the Produce Truck program.

BY THE NUMBERS

  • Kroger donated 325 MILLION meals during the past 30 years
  • Kroger’s brand is seen on several of Second Harvest’s marketing campaigns and events, as well as the Produce Truck that delivers healthy produce to our neighbors in need throughout Nashville
  • Second Harvest helps Kroger rescue millions of pounds of food annually from 60 Kroger stores that would otherwise go to waste

Melissa Eads

“Second Harvest has an extremely dedicated and talented staff who are passionate about feeding hungry people in our communities. From the driver picking up food donations from our stores, to the volunteer coordinator, to the CEO … the team is informed, engaged, and on mission. We are honored to play a small part in their efforts to make ending hunger a reality.”

– Melissa Eads, Corporate Affairs Manager, Kroger Nashville Division
