Help the Boy Scouts of America fight hunger during their one-day food drive, Scouting for Food!
Each year in February, the local Boy Scout troops in Middle Tennessee join together to collect as much food as possible to help feed our hungry neighbors.
Participating is Easy!
- Scout units will distribute door tags and flyers Saturday, February 4th, one week before the collection, in communities where they will be picking up.
- If you receive a door tag, fill a plastic bag with non-perishable food items and leave it outside your door on the morning of Saturday, February 11th before 9:00 am.Â
- Scouts and leaders will collect the food and deliver it to a Second Harvest Agency in the area. This means, the food will stay in the community in which it is collected!
Our most needed items include: canned fruit or vegetables, canned chicken or tuna, canned or dry beans, boxed or bagged rice, mac & cheese and cereal, and this year, our partners are making a special request for peanut butter donations.
